1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to Dalail-ul-Khairat(“we”, “our”, or “us”), managed under the auspices of Hujra-e-Salawat ‘alan Nabi ﷺ (located at Shaikh Rozah, Gulbarga, Karnataka, India). Our mission is to facilitate the daily, continuous collective recitation of Salawat upon the Beloved Prophet ﷺ through reverent digital tools, including our web platform and official Android / iOS mobile applications.

We hold the trust and spiritual privacy of our users in the highest regard. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, utilize, protect, and handle your information across our services in strict accordance with global privacy best practices and Google Play Store Developer Policies.

2. Community Khatm Circles & Member Visibility

A cornerstone of the Dalail-ul-Khairat platform is the Daily Khatm Circles (Tilaawati Halqas / Doors). In each circle, 7 members unite to each recite an allocated Hizb (daily portion) so that the entire blessed book of Dalail-ul-Khairat is completed in a single 24-hour day.

What is visible to fellow circle members: When you join a circle, only your chosen display name (or first name/avatar) and your allocated recitation status (e.g., In Progress or Completed) are visible to the other 6 members of that specific circle. This visual coordination is strictly required to verify collective daily Khatm completion.

What is NEVER shared or visible: Your sensitive personal contact information — including your email address, phone number, physical address, password hash, or exact geolocation — is NEVER visible to other members or public readers. It remains strictly confidential and encrypted within our secure database.

3. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your display name, email address, optional phone number, and preferred language (English or Urdu).
Recitation & Progress Data: Your daily Hizb reading records, streaks, completed Khatam counts, and circle participation milestones.
Location Data (Optional): If you enable prayer time calculations, the app accesses your coarse or fine device location solely on-device to determine astronomical prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha). Location coordinates are never sold, tracked over time, or transmitted to external advertisers.
Device & Diagnostic Data: Device model, operating system version, and anonymous crash logs used solely to debug and enhance application stability.

4. How We Use Your Information

Your data is managed solely by the authorized Dalail-ul-Khairat team and is used exclusively for the following religious and operational purposes:

Khatm Coordination

Allocating your daily Hizb slot, tracking your recitation completion, and synchronizing progress across your devices.

Updates & Newsletters

Sending official newsletters, spiritual inspirations, blessed Friday reminders, and essential service or app updates.

Timely Notifications

Delivering daily Salawat alerts, live stream broadcasts from Masjid an-Nabawi, and prayer time notifications.

Zero Advertising

We NEVER sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data to data brokers, ad networks, or commercial third parties.

5. Data Security & Storage

We implement industry-grade security measures to safeguard your personal data:

All network transmissions use TLS 1.3 / SSL encrypted protocols (HTTPS).
Data is housed on secure cloud servers with PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) enforcement.
Sensitive credentials and passwords are encrypted using one-way cryptographic hashing algorithms.
Access to production databases is strictly restricted to certified core administrators.

6. Account & Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)

In accordance with Google Play Store policies and international data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), every user maintains full ownership of their data and may permanently delete their account and associated records at any time.

Method 1 (In-App Deletion): Open the Dalail-ul-Khairat mobile app, navigate to Profile or Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap “Delete Account & Data”. Confirming this action will immediately remove your profile and all active memberships.

Method 2 (Web Request): You can request complete deletion without the app by visiting our dedicated deletion portal:dalailulkhairat.org/delete-account or emailing us directly at support@dalailulkhairat.org.

* Upon processing, all your personal profile records, recitation history, circle memberships, and streak tallies are permanently and irreversibly purged from our servers within 30 days.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our application is a religious and educational utility intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately to have it purged.
